In many (most? all?) dbm variants the db files will tend to grow over
time which might slow things down somewhat. This may well happen even
if tidydb is used (depends whether it rewrites everything). Personally,
if I schedule anything, I tend to delete the hints files periodically -
and I think I used to do this on the planet clusters although thats a
while back now.
