OK, I gave it a try, changed the line in my exim.conf to
av_scanner = sophie:/var/run/sophie
and started sophie that I configured to run under the same UID exim4
does:
*test*
I'm going mad! ;-)
Now it - well - works. When I tested it a few hours ago, it did not:
Mails containing the EICAR string were passed through...
