I am afraid that I do not believe you. (And I have just searched the
code to make sure that I am not going mad.) The *only* place in the code
where the relevant variable is set FALSE is at the end of a delivery
process, when the message is not finished with.
Are you confusing "first_delivery" with "delivered"? Even "delivered"
is not changed by "mail" unless it is "seen mail".
