I'd like to see this, too. although we don't get protocol errors from
our pollers, the connection logging is a little annoying.

this would be overkill for us.

I wonder if ACL syntax could be appropriate for this?

log_selector:
    deny hosts = +checker_hosts
    deny log_event = smtp_connection
    accept


not sure what happens to the "message" action :-)
