I've been over on the mailman-users list with a few problems with mailman
but it's becoming apparent that this is an Exim problem, so I thought I'd
ask the question here.

I started to use mailman run a game via a mailing list, it worked for about
the first dozen posts, then something changed that broke everything,
although all the settings (including the aliases in the /etc/mail/alias
file) seem to have remained the same. What's going on here? Below is the
most recent posts and information from that discussion. I'll attach some
more info at the bottom.

Damn Gentoo stuck it elsewhere. Searching.

smtp-failure shows the following:

Oct 07 07:57:24 2004 (6344) All recipients refused:
{'jnagyjr@???
s': (550, 'Verification failed for
<rifts-pbem-bounces@???>\nUnk
nown user\nSender verify failed')}, msgid:
<mailman.0.1097153842.21728.rifts-pbe
m@???>
Oct 07 07:57:24 2004 (6344) delivery to jnagyjr@??? failed
with code 550: Verification failed for <rifts-pbem-bounces@???>
Unknown user
Sender verify failed

which is wrong because it's included in my alias file.

Looking in the others.

nothing odd looking in smtp, granted I don't know what odd is. I'll attach
it in next email if you think it'd be relevant.

several .pck files in shunt, nothing in out or in.

There is no maillog file.

I'm still as lost. Here's the relevant entries for that file:
