well, nobody says callouts are used to test addresses other than the
envelope sender. Testing email addresses is done by using a null
envelopesender, never using non-empty envelope senders. In the other
hand receiving mail from null envelope sender is REQUIRED by RFC and
you could end listed at rfc-ignorant

by our experience, this measure has no impact on the amount of spam
received, there are other means to stop spam other than break you
server configuration.
