Subject: [exim] Pb using recipient without domain Name
Hello.

I use exim 4.34 on a Debian/Sarge server.

I have problem using amavis-new with local addresses (addresses without
domain).
The bellow message appears in mainlog when i send from the local host the
cmde:
echo "test from root@"| mail -s 'test from root@' root

<------------- begining of mainlog extract
2004-10-12 15:20:12 1CHMZX-0000sG-QL <= root@ U=root P=local S=304
2004-10-12 15:20:12 1CHMZX-0000sG-QL ** root@ R=amavis T=amavis: SMTP
error from remote mailer after end of data: host localhost.localdomain
[127.0.0.1]: 501 5.5.0 Rejected by MTA: 501 <root>: sender address must
contain a domain, id=01001-03
2004-10-12 15:20:12 1CHMZY-0000sa-He Error while reading message with no
usable sender address (R=1CHMZX-0000sG-QL): at least one malformed
recipient address: root@ - domain missing or malformed
2004-10-12 15:20:12 1CHMZX-0000sG-QL Process failed (1) when writing error
message to root@ (frozen)
<------------- end of mainlog extract

My config is a little complexe and i would just that the local addresses
(those without domain) are rewriting before going throught the first
routeur (amavis) with the primary domain name for domain (ie: *@
$1@$primary_hostname).

Is it a good solution?

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
