[exim] exim in chroot should only relay to localhost

Hi,

i chrooted my Webserver(apache/php)
my normal(production) exim installation isnt chroot
i like to use the mail() funktion in php
and so i chrooted exim also and would use php sendmailcommand "exim -bS"
but would use it only for relaying to my real exim listening on localhost port
25.

generally, is this possible ?

any infos are welcome.
