Not any more - now the archiver handles attachments I let them through.
However the MLM will convert text/html -> text/plain and may chew the
message sufficiently that digital signatures fail (not in the general
case, but HTML messages will have signatures broken, as will some
strange combinations of attachments).
[Attachment eating is no longer required now the system can fully digest
and dispose of the incoming stream of spam - in fact drinking from a
fire hose is the appropriate analogy - even after we reject most stuff
early]
