Hello all,
to be sure this issue has not been resolved, I have upgraded to exim
4.42 and retried delivery with the same results.
exim -M 1CCqEw-0001iX-Vb
2004-09-30 02:27:01 1CCqEw-0001iX-Vb no IP address found for host host1
2004-09-30 02:27:01 1CCqEw-0001iX-Vb failed to read delivery status
for \2\user@??? from delivery subprocess
2004-09-30 02:27:01 1CCqEw-0001iX-Vb lmtp transport process returned
non-zero status 0x0100: exit code 1
2004-09-30 02:27:01 1CCqEw-0001iX-Vb no IP address found for host host2
2004-09-30 02:27:01 1CCqEw-0001iX-Vb failed to read delivery status
for \2\user@??? from delivery subprocess
2004-09-30 02:27:01 1CCqEw-0001iX-Vb lmtp transport process returned
non-zero status 0x0100: exit code 1
2004-09-30 02:27:01 1CCqEw-0001iX-Vb no IP address found for host host3
2004-09-30 02:27:01 1CCqEw-0001iX-Vb failed to read delivery status
for \2\user@??? from delivery subprocess
2004-09-30 02:27:01 1CCqEw-0001iX-Vb lmtp transport process returned
non-zero status 0x0100: exit code 1
If I edit the header and change the -host_address line to an IP
address that does have a matching forward/reverse, the message is
delivered.
Is this something I configured terribly wrong in Exim and is avoidable?
