debian woody, exim 3.35, spamassassin, amavisd-new, courier-pop, clamav,
virtual domains in a pgsql database...
Last week a pgsql hiccup caused our mail server to be non-functional for
a short time - during this time, and a while after it had started
working again, messages came in, but were deferred (local domains lookup
deferred). Now, there're probably a couple thousand or so of these
messages, and their initial run (or runs) of deferral warning messages
sitting in the queue. Each time exim runs through the queue, it
continues deferring them with the same error. Meanwhile all other
messages sent/received have been delivering without problems.
Do I just need to clear the queue with -qff?
Each time the queue gets parsed when exim is restarted, the majority of
the messages remain frozen, and a large number more continue to get
local domains lookup deferred messages...
