It does not matter if people self-sign, including spammers. Please
remember that the premise of all of these proposals (SPF/BATV/
Domain Key's/etc.) is to not to stop SPAM, but to prevent, or reduce,
false identification of the sender (and hopefully, NDR's to inocent
parties), to ease the process in identifying SPAM sources, and or,
decide who the recipient wants to 'trust' as sending them non-SPAM mail.

Anyone who says that any of these proposals will stop SPAM is either
ill informed, or lying.
