I run Debian stable and use Andreas Metzler's exim4 backports. I have
these lines in /etc/apt/sources.list:

# Backports for exim4
deb http://www.logic.univie.ac.at/~ametzler/debian/exim4manpages/ woody/
deb http://www.logic.univie.ac.at/~ametzler/debian/gnutls/ woody/

I use the daemon-heavy brand to get exim-acl functionality and have no
problems with a mysql-backend.
