This is an *exellent* list. I've been reading it for a long time.

But being told to RTFM is just lame. Only an idiot needs to be told
that.

There isn't anyone here who doesn't know about the manual and the
need to read it. It is rough going for newbies, and the basic
questions deserve real and thorough responses.

Taking 250 words to say "RTFM" and then expecting it to be mistaken
for an intelligent reply, is just *lame*. Better to simply remain
silent.

Perhaps that's what we are dealing with here: Compulsive posting.
I got a total of 9 mails in my *personal* mailbox over stating
what should be obvious. Some of them are just weird.
