I am am using exim 4.42 along with spamassassin in a spam gateway
solution. When exim delivers email to the next mail server where the
email accounts live I am getting the following error.
T=remote_smtp defer (-1): smtp transport process returned non-zero
status 0x0009: terminated by signal 9
The emails then get queued and delivered without trouble when a queue
runner fires.
The only thing google came up with was a reference to PAX. Fedora has a
similar thing called exec-shield I turned that off but still have the
same issue.
I am using a manual router to get mail to the mailbox server.
ourdomains_route:
driver = manualroute
transport = remote_smtp
route_list = +ourdomains 192.168.0.3
I turned on some debugging but I can't see any reason why the delivery
fails.
Can someone point me to some specific debugging or tests I can run to
find the problem?
Exim 4.42 with exiscan-acl-4.42-27 patch
Fedora Core 2
Kernel 2.6.8-1.521
Spamassassin 2.64
Thanks,
