Standard procedure for that equipment is to replace it with a stock
ethernet patch cable. That will roughly have the same effect in terms of
"security" but does greatly enhance standard application protocol
functionality.
To make sure the PIX cannot further multilate packets in another
network, drop it from a sufficiently high altitude (everything below 10
meters is "unsafe").
