I'm unashamedly using this list to contact a sysadmin at Blueyonder, in the belief that this will reach the right person there significantly quicker than emailing the postmaster account.. and it is (slightly) Exim-related.... so apologies for the bandwidth..
Dear Blueyonder
Your mail cluster is replaying mail it receives from 2 mailing lists (at least) back to the list posting address (the To: header). It's doing this for more than one of your users, which makes me suspect it's a wide-reaching problem. Looking at the headers, mail is getting through the Exim front-end, getting virus-scanned, but then the MS SMTPSVC on a server called 'cluster5' is re-cycling it.
From personal experience, I know one way to make SMTPSVC do this is to dump partially-delivered messages from a queue into the pickup directory for re-processing - it doesn't do what you hope it might.....
A header extract follows - I have many examples....
Thanks...
Peter
