I am having the same problem. To solve it, I would like to just simply deny
all mail pretending to be from the local domain coming in thru the public
internet interface. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Something like the interface line below?

  deny    domains       = !+local_domains
          interface    = eth1
          message       = faked from email
