That's not true. 2650's come with Emergency Remote Access (DRAC) card's
that you can plug into a network and use to unpower and repower the
entire chassis. It's effectively an embedded PC within a PC. You can
then use netboot to restore everything to a sensible state.

Additionally you can disable serial support in grub (or lilo, which is
much much better for all this imo) and use the 2650's "redirect after
boot" option which will still get you grub output on serial console but
will allow to use the esc-R esc-r esc-R sequence to reboot the box.
