I`d have to agree on that point. Tho I did like the original posters
comment of:

Hm, all my linux boxes run on serial consoles, they work too. The moral
of the story is there is no best fit for Exim, simply run it on the Unix
your most familiar with and on the hardware you can get best
performance/price ratio.
