I have read all that I can take and at a loss.
When my server sends anything to root@??? it will freeze
and I never get the mail even though I have the aliases file set to send
to user@???.
these are some of the settings i have set:
root: me@???
root: me
root: me@
root: me@???
and other various setting that I have seen posted.
I am using exim 4.30 installed by Suse 9.1 pro
this is my setting in exim.conf
system_aliases:
driver = redirect
allow_fail
allow_defer
data =${lookup{$local_part}lsearch{/etc/aliases}}
#user = ed
file_transport = address_file
pipe_transport = address_pipe
