I looked at these yesterday. Out of 6 reports, 4 were genuine bugs and 2
seemed to be bugs in the compiler. :-)

Done in the next release for the 4.

I run gcc with as many warnings turned on as I dare; I used also to
compile with the Irix compiler (which gave different warnings) but I no
longer have access to that. I also use Sun's compiler. These find lots
of lint, but obviously not all of it...
