The most recent change to exigrep (in 4.31) was
70. exigrep's output now also includes lines that are not associated with any
message, but which match the given pattern. Implemented by a patch from
Martin Sluka, which also tidied up the Perl a bit.
That was where the "our" came in. Always dangerous to "tidy up", I suppose...
