I deleted everything in /var/spool/exim/db (including the lock file). I
updated libdb and rebuilt exim just in case. So far, no problems, but
it might take a day or so for exim to recreate the retry file. We shall
see.
Would attempting to send email to a nonexistent domain cause the
recreation of "retry"?
