[Exim] Strange Problem with Headers

Hi,
I'm using exim 3.35 on a Debian/stable machine and I'm experiencing
strange problems with the mail headers.

Every mail contains an additional header line above all others similar
to this:
--- snip ---
>From exim-users-admin@??? Mon May 10 18:07:25 2004
--- snip ---
(note the missing colon)

Everything else is absolutely ok.

I were able to track this problem down to a major configuration rewrite,
but I were unable to determine which configuration item is responsible
for this misbehavior.

Due to the nature of a production system I am unable to just "roll-back" the
configuration.

Any helpful response would be very much appreciated.
