I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but here goes:
I didn't find this in the FAQ, but I'm sure it's not that unique. I'm trying
to run exim 3.X with SpamAssassin 2.63 on a Debian server. This box is in
our DMZ and it forwards mail using SMTP to and from our Exchange server. SA
is running and it does filter messages using spamc. When I try to integrate
it into exim, exim stops forwarding messages altogether. They don't get
bounced back to the outside internet OR on the exchange server; they just
get "lost". Once I copy over the newly modified exim.conf file with the
backup, email starts flowing again and messages get sent to and from the
Internet.
The lines I put into exim.conf are from this page:
http://dman13.dyndns.org/~dman/config_docs/exim-spamassassin/node11.html . I
don't get why it just stops working. I did modify the path to suit SA 2.63
(it installs into /usr/local/bin instead of /usr/bin).
Anybody have any clues?
