thanks for everything, i solved the problem right now,
i switched to exim 4.3.2 few minutes ago and used some of the
configuration as shown in the link with some modifications for use with
postgres.

i see that exim uses 10M for a value of 10 megabytes of mail, courier
uses 10000S or 1000C as a value, hmmm
how must the value in the database be stored for courier ? in the format
10000000S or 10M?
also have some problems sending the bounce-mail, but this is an
exim-config problem i think ...
