Hi,
I guess this is not a problem in your exim configuration but maybe your PAM
config.
Otherwise if you don't use PAM , you maybe should use it, because it probably
makes your exim-config a bit more simple.
I think exim has to change its uid to access the .forward. This might a the
problem ...
