Problem is, from my understanding, the demime function has to unpack
all the attachments into the scan temporary directory, which can
be pretty IO intensive on a high-volume server.

From what I can tell, it looks like the MIME ACL functions can allow
you to do some of the same things without having to extract to disk,
which is a BIG win for busy servers...
