[Exim] libssl.so.0.9.6

Ok, this is getting frustrating now ... Can anyone point me in the right
direction ????

In the testing stage and running exim -v <user@???> and getting
this error -

ld.so.1: /usr/local/sbin/exim/bin/exim: fatal: libssl.so.0.9.6: open
failed: No such file or directory

These variables are set -

LD_RUN_PATH=/usr/local/ssl/lib:/usr/lib:/etc/lib:/usr/lib/sparcv9
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/ssl/lib:/usr/lib:/etc/lib:/usr/lib/sparcv9

Not sure why this error is happening ?
Openssl.0.9.6 is installed and residing and /usr/local/ssl/lib

Help !!!
