You are testing your server for Open Relays, aren't you? By running a test
pretending to come from an external IP (one that's not allowed to relay
messages through your server), you are basically testing for an open relay.
The advantage that comes with telnetting into a remote box that does the
testing for you is obvious. ...bottom line, you are testing for an open
relay.
