I don't have a guide, but I do all of my exim 'db' lookups with ldap, what
do you need help with exactly?
If I get the time, I could put one together if it is going to cover what
it is that you need.
I did my original configs based partly off of what I found here about 2
years ago, but it is for exim v3.x not v4.x, so it took some tweaking,
but it was helpfull.

There were several other helpfull documents I found on google at the time
but I do not remember what they were any more, a google search for
'exim ldap' should give you lots of hits to go over.
