I'm fairly big on pragmatism, but I've got to say that any programmer who
makes such an obviously silly argument really should a) be ashamed of
themselves and b) not be writing applications that are intended to
interoperate with anything else. Writing some random junk without reading
any standards, testing it in one specific environment and then assigning
implicit blame on someone else when it fails in another perfectly decent
environment is a bit rude to say the least.
