Ok, thanks. I found using the command 'exim4 -bV' that the configuration file is /var/lib/exim4/config.autogenerated

Now I know what the config file is, I can see that the ACLs are stored in /etc/exim4/conf.d/acl

Thanks. It's this which I have been looking through, but the documentation on this particular implementation (whoson combined with exim 4) is sparse to say the least. All the site gives is the condition quoted above, with little context.

I'll be reading more on setting up ACLs, however I guess I'm hoping someone on here has already tried this, and can let me know where some instructions might be had.
