Your question is confused. Are you talking about message reception over
SMTP, or message delivery to a remote host?

If the latter, the main problem is that your bandwidth usage is going
to increase, and it's not very polite to cause the additional resource
consumption on the remote machine.

If the former, make sure you defer any additional receipients rather
than deny them so that you don't cause spurious bounces. This is also
rather impolite for the same reasons.
