I think too few systems will bounce mail without including the _full_
headers.
On the other hand, you can perhaps stop sending mail with your real
email address in the SMTP reverse-path, and start adding the tag to the
reverse-path of your outgoing mail instead. That _is_ guaranteed to be
preserved -- and then you can refuse bounces to your real address.
