Since it's mostly true, probably never. The core of OS X is Darwin
which is *based* on FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and NetBSD. Just as among those
three, there are differences between Darwin and FreeBSD. However, the
basic hierarchy and lineage is the same. In this way, Darwin is no
different from DragonflyBSD (or whatever they call it...something like
that).
The only error I saw was the original author didn't put "BSD based"
where "FreeBSD" is. I felt the intent of the statement was clear
enough to not nit-pick being it didn't have anything to do with the
discussion, per se.
