I had the same problem when using some of the new spamassassin rule sets
with spamd and the exiscan patch.
To fix, edit exim/src/config.h.defaults
and change the STRING_SPRINTF_BUFFER_SIZE line to
#define STRING_SPRINTF_BUFFER_SIZE (8192 * 2)
This fixes the error for me anyway.
