Dear all,
Exim 4.30 stopped sending or receiving email on our server this morning.
Each time I tried to send an email the mail server responded "Temporary
local problem - please try later" despite me haning made no changes to
our server. To cut the story short I traced the problem to a host name
that no longer exists in the DNS. Would this cause a timeout problem?
deny hosts = /usr/exim/acl/bouncehostlist
!sender_domains = /usr/exim/acl/allowedlist
!senders = /usr/exim/acl/alloweduser
By editing bouncehostlist all works fine. Should anyone else experience
similar problem you will save some time by checking that the relevant
hosts still exist.
