[Exim] Forcing Hints DB to Update

After a host has been down for a while, Exim bounces email for that host with the message:

    retry time not reached for any host after a long failure period

When the host comes back online, eventually Exim notices and begins delivering email to it again.

What I am wondering is: is there a way of forcing Exim immediately to notice that the host has come back online?
