[Exim] Wildcard Lookup issues

We had a machine go down and we basically had to rebuild it from back up. We're running virtual mail accounts and now
anyone who had a *: user@??? entry in their aliases file are not getting mail. The error in the log file I get is

rejected RCPT <user@???>: Unrouteable address
</snippet>


I can't see why it's doing this, as far as I can tell everything is setup just like it used to be and just like it's
sister machine...any thoughts on why it is doing that or how I might get a work around to it?
