Hello,
I have an odd problem. I have two boxes. One is the mailserver where all
e-mail is delivered and where some filtering is done (damogran.local).
Behind that one, there's another one and to which most e-mail is
forwarded and at which users read their mail (krikkit.local)
Sometimes I get messages like these in my damogran logs:
2003-12-18 22:05:47 H=krikkit.local (krikkit.v6.rz.nl.eu.org)
[10.0.0.23] sender verify fail for <rejo@???>:
Unrouteable address
2003-12-18 22:05:47 H=krikkit.local (krikkit.v6.rz.nl.eu.org)
[10.0.0.23] F=<rejo@???> rejected RCPT
<rcpt@???>: Sender verify failed
And the mail has bounced. Why is it that <rejo@???> couldn't be
verified. Just before and just after that address is working. Just
before specifically this mail I have tried to send, I sent another one
to the same recepient:
2003-12-18 22:04:01 1AX5JK-0001xQ-7R => rcpt@???
<rcpt@???> R=dnslookup T=remote_smtp S=1112
H=mx1.netland.nl [217.170.32.72] C="250 2.0.0 hBIL3MjF008561
Message accepted for delivery"
This one was less than two minutes before the one that failed and sent
in exactly the same way. Why did it fail once while just before (and
after) there was no problem? Any ideas?
