I have a some problem regarding to installing exim rpm.
Environment:
1. Red Hat 9 (Linux 2.4.20-8smp #1 SMP i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux)
2. exim-base-4.30-1_14.rh9.i386.rpm from
ftp.exim.org/pub/rpms-for-exim/rh9
I tested a package with option --test. Always is fine.
When I was installing this package, something has been happened. The rpms have been extracted, /usr/sbin/exim-base has been present. But after this rpm suddenly stopped any activietyes and I have to kill it with option -9.
After that all rpm command can't work.
# rpm -q -vv exim-base
D: opening db environment /var/lib/rpm/Packages joinenv
D: opening db index /var/lib/rpm/Packages rdonly mode=0x0
What's happened? Any comments are acceptable.
