Subject: [Exim] General question: reverse hostlookup
Hello,

we use Exim 4.24. If I set the option
    require verify = reverse_host_lookup
I get mail rejects for some big free mailers, for example for the german
free mailer EPost.DE:
host lookup failed (193.28.100.167 does not match any IP address for
mail.epost.de)

Probable source of fault:
A nslookup for mail.epost.de yields 193.28.100.151 (instead of
193.28.100.167), but nslookup 193.28.100.167 returns mail.epost.de

What are your experiences with this option? Is it a good policy to
reject a message, because of a (reverse) hostlookup failure? Or will I
catch to much normal mailservers with this option?

regards
oliver
