It occurs to me that there is a check in case RCPT_CMD that is wrong for
the same reasons as the former one...:

|     rcpt_count++;

|
|     if (sender_address == NULL)
|       {
|       done = synprot_error(L_smtp_protocol_error, 503, NULL,
|         US"sender not yet given");
|       rcpt_fail_count++;
|       break;
|       }


Surely that shouldn't be a protocol error either?
