While I used to believe that this was the case, I'm starting to believe
it's necessary, horrible as it is. Since my work is not as a mailadmin,
and my work mail is currently unfiltered but tagged, I've been looking
at the sheer volume of spam that comes in. I've started to be converted
towards the idea that SMTP senders shouldn't be emitting mail to random
internet hosts unless they're allowed in some way. Not that I've yet
done anything about it, but...

With a small enough userbase (so, not on the scale of outblaze), I might
suggest that .forwards come in with some kind of tagged address which
doesn't get the same level of checks applied. I appreciate that it's not
necessarily a useful check, though, in general.
