[Exim] msglog files not being deleted

Hi

We are running Exim 4-24 under RedHat 9

I came to work this morning to find that our main incoming server had
run out of diskspace over the
weekend. Investigating, I found that the msglog files had not been
deleted since we upgraded to
4-24.

preserve_message_logs is NOT set in our configuration files.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour? I have now set message_logs to
false, but I am curious
as to what I might have got wrong.
