[Exim] HELP exim gone faulty ...

Please Help.
All was working fine. Over the weekend the server was was the victom of a
power failure.

Since then i get the following errors with all the mail incomming and out
going via smtp.

"SMTP connection from localhost [127.0.0.1]:32892 (TCP/IP connection count
= 1)
"SMTP connection from localhost [127.0.0.1]:32892 (TCP/IP connection count
= 2)
"SMTP connection from localhost [127.0.0.1]:32892 (TCP/IP connection count
= 3)"

"SMTP data timeout (message abandoned) on connection from
[192.168.0.199]:XXXX

I have done a make ,make install , and this did not help
