Thank you Asbjorn,
when I shut down exim, there are still quite a few processes running. So I
manually kill all of them until a ps -ef | grep exim returns one line ..the
one for the grep process.
When I restart, there are about 20-30 exim processes started. After 5
minutes, there about 75, and after 20 minutes, have a bunch....scrolls
through the screen 3-4 or more times....so I'd say around 200-300.
If I shutdown the server entirely, get the same thing....Thanks for all your
help...the admin is getting a little frustrated with me for not getting this
resolved.
