[Exim] 30 messages sent out for each email--Newbie

Newbie needs some quick troubleshooting for exim. For some reason, everytime an email is sent, 30 copies are sent as well. A ps -ef | grep exim returns about 300 processes running some of which are defunct. Getting ready to uninstall and reinstall unless there's a quick fix. Thank you in advance.
